CORAL CALCIUM AND DEPLETION OF MINERALS IN THE
UNITED STATES
Coral calcium is a complex holistic
mixture of elements and vital minerals that comes from nature.
There are two types of coral calcium.
Land-based coral, which has been deposited on land and below sea
coral. The differences between the two are the land-based coral
composition contains a higher concentration of calcium, but has lower
magnesium. The below-sea coral composition has a lower concentration
of calcium, but more magnesium. The content of below-sea coral
might be close to a 2:1 balance. 2:1 ratio for calcium to magnesium
is the ideal intake for the human diet. New Life contains above the
sea coral. |

Above Sea Coral
The reefs of Okinawa, Japan have an abundance
of various minerals from underwater volcanic material. The waters are
clean and filled with all substances that sustain life.
Okinawans, the people who live in this area
of Japan, have longevity that is very striking.
Approximately 400 people in Okinawa in
the later years of the 1990’s were recorded to live beyond their
100th birthday. Assumptions of their longevity have been linked
to living a healthier lifestyle due to the abundance of minerals in their
region.
Vitamins: Organic, essential
nutrients required in small amounts by the body for health.
Minerals: Inorganic elements;
some minerals are essential nutrients required in small amounts. Your
body’s cells depend on minerals for proper function and structure.
All enzyme activities involve minerals. Minerals are essential for the
proper use of other nutrients and vitamins.
Essential minerals are chemical elements that
are required by organisms for survival or at least for health. Essential
major minerals include magnesium, sodium, calcium, chloride, and potassium.
Furthermore, there are many more essential trace minerals. Trace minerals
are necessary and they are required in small quantities in the diet. Nerve
function, nerve cell building, and nerve stability depend upon trace minerals.

Mineral Wheel
Human beings must maintain their proper chemical
balance, the level at which each mineral in the body has an effect on
other minerals. Furthermore, if one mineral is out of balance, all minerals
are affected. If the level is not corrected, it can start a chain reaction
of imbalances that may lead to illness. To obtain optimum health, our
bodies need approximately 95 nutrients on a daily basis. These 95 nutrients
are broken down to 65 minerals and 30 vitamins, amino acids, and fatty
acids. |
| DEPLETION OF MINERALS IN THE UNITED
STATES
Depletion of our soils has been documented
since 1936.
In 1936, the U.S. Senate issued a document
#264, pertaining to soil mineral depletion. Document 264 states 99% of
the American people are deficient in minerals and a marked deficiency
in any one of the more important minerals actually results in disease.
|
In 2005, nature’s cycle occurred
rarely in the United States. Modern crops are frequently grown in depleted
soils. Once the crop is harvested, it gets stripped of essential vitamins
and minerals in the time that it takes to transport it to the supermarket.
Studies have shown that our soil is being depleted and other concerns
such as insecticides, chemical fertilizers, and the pollutants in our
environment, have been a dilemma in the United States. In order to have
optimal nerve function, nerve cell building, and nerve stability, mineral
supplementing is extremely important in our 21st century.

Deficiency of minerals (i.e. magnesium)
has been linked to mental and central nervous system disorders.
Calcium is one of the hardest minerals
for the body to absorb. The proposed major benefit of coral calcium might
be in the bioavailability of the coral. Bioavailability means the degree
to which the amount of an ingested nutrient is absorbed and is available
to the body.
